Going to Phuket, it is important not only to rent a wonderful villa in a prestigious area, but also to intelligently collect luggage for the trip. Clothes and shoes

Phuket is warm all year round, so choose light and comfortable clothes made of natural materials such as cotton, linen or bamboo. These fabrics allow your skin to breathe and help you avoid overheating in the hot climate. T-shirts, shorts, dresses and sundresses made of natural fabrics will be the mainstay of your closet. Don't forget something with long sleeves - this will save you from the scorching sun or in air-conditioned rooms. Even better - choose clothes with protection from UV rays, some brands have special collections for this (for example, Uniqlo).

For walks and the beach, take sandals or flip-flops. And for excursions - lightweight sneakers that can be easily removed, which is important when visiting temples. Avoid heavy shoes and sandals with heels - they are not suitable for local conditions. Do not forget about hats, they will not only save from overheating and sunstroke, but also protect the delicate skin of the face from ultraviolet light and premature aging. 

Sun and insect protection

The sun in Phuket is very active, so make sure you take sunscreen with an SPF of at least 50. Now there is a great choice with physical and chemical filters. The first are more universal and suitable for sensitive skin, but poorly and long absorbed, and also require renewal every two hours. The latter are more advanced and are more commonly found from Korean and Japanese brands, but are not suitable for all skin types and it's best to try them out before traveling. Add to this a cap or panama and quality sunglasses.

For evening walks you will need repellents - you can buy them locally, but it is better to bring proven means from home. 

First aid kit

A minimal first aid kit is a guarantee of peace of mind. Take antipyretics, antihistamines, medicines for upset stomach, plasters and antiseptic. This is especially important for travelers with children or those planning trips to remote areas of the island.

Gadgets and adapters

Thailand uses A, B and C type outlets. Grab a universal adapter if your appliances don't support these standards. Chargers with long cords will also come in handy - outlets aren't always conveniently located. To protect your phone during water excursions, buy a sealed case. It will keep the device from water and sand, and will also allow you to take stunning underwater photos.

For transportation of gadgets, we advise you to buy protective bags, and install new films, glasses and covers on all devices to avoid cracks and damage. 

Equipment for the beach and excursions

If you plan on snorkeling, bring a mask and coral boots, as finding the right shoe size on site can be tricky. In addition to snorkeling, try kayaking or SUP surfing - equipment for these can be rented on the beaches. A small backpack or tour bag with water, towel, cream and change will also come in handy.

Money and bank cards

Take cash dollars or euros to exchange for Thai baht. There are plenty of exchangers in Phuket, and it's not hard to find a favorable rate. Cards work too, but cash is more convenient for markets and small purchases. Check your bank's fees for withdrawing cash abroad in advance. Use safe carry-on bags to carry cash. 

Everyday essentials

Don't forget antiseptic and dry wipes. This is especially important in hot climates. Also useful will be a small shoulder bag where you can put your documents, money and phone. A large backpack in the heat will only add inconvenience.
